UniDAIM Joins the Higher Education Sustainability Initiative (HESI)

The University of Digital and AI Management (UniDAIM) is pleased to announce that it has joined the Higher Education Sustainability Initiative (HESI) as a member, becoming part of a global partnership that brings together higher education institutions, university networks, student organizations, and United Nations entities committed to advancing sustainable development through education, research, innovation, and collaboration.

HESI is co-chaired by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), the United Nations University (UNU), the UNESCO International Institute for Higher Education in Latin America and the Caribbean (UNESCO IESALC), and the Sulitest Association. The initiative also works closely with several UN partners, including UNESCO, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the UN Global Compact’s Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), UN-HABITAT, UNCTAD, UNITAR, the UN Office for Partnerships, and UN Academic Impact.

Established to strengthen the role of higher education in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), HESI serves as a global platform for knowledge sharing, policy engagement, and collaborative action. Through its membership, UniDAIM joins a growing international community dedicated to integrating sustainability into teaching, research, institutional practices, and community engagement.

UniDAIM’s admission into HESI reflects the university’s commitment to expanding access to quality higher education through tuition-free, fully online programs that remove financial and geographic barriers to learning. The university’s focus on digital strategy, artificial intelligence, ethical leadership, and innovation aligns closely with HESI’s vision of empowering higher education institutions to contribute meaningfully to sustainable and inclusive development worldwide.

As a HESI member, UniDAIM looks forward to engaging with institutions and organizations across the globe to exchange best practices, contribute to sustainability-focused initiatives, and support the advancement of the SDGs through accessible, technology-driven education. The membership further strengthens UniDAIM’s mission of preparing future leaders who can harness digital transformation and artificial intelligence responsibly to address social, economic, and environmental challenges.
