An Honorary Doctorate is a distinguished award granted to individuals in recognition of their outstanding achievements, contributions to society, or excellence in their professional fields. Unlike a traditional academic doctorate, this honor does not require coursework, a dissertation, or comprehensive examinations. Instead, it symbolizes recognition of merit, impact, and excellence.
At the University of Digital and AI Management (UniDAIM), this award reflects our commitment to honoring leaders and innovators who embody the spirit of digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and forward-looking leadership. Individuals may either submit a self-nomination or nominate other eligible persons for consideration.
UniDAIM awards Honorary Doctorates to individuals who meet any of the following requirements:
- Possess a minimum of 10 years of professional experience demonstrating sustained impact and excellence in their field.
- Demonstrate exceptional achievement in business, academia, leadership, or social impact.
- Have made significant contributions to advancing digital innovation, artificial intelligence, or related fields.
- Embody UniDAIM’s mission of democratizing access to education and promoting future-ready leadership.
Our Honorees enjoy the following benefits:
- Honorary Prefix – Recipients may use the prefix “Dr. (h.c.)” in formal and professional settings, reflecting the recognition of their outstanding achievements.
- Global Recognition – Be acknowledged as part of a prestigious network of achievers who have demonstrated excellence in leadership, innovation, and social impact.
- Distinguished Community – Join an esteemed circle of honorary recipients celebrated for their contributions to advancing digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and future-ready leadership.
- Engagement Opportunities – Be invited to actively participate in UniDAIM events, including convocations, seminars, public lectures, and workshops, where honorees can share insights and inspire the next generation of leaders.
- Thought Leadership – Gain a platform to contribute ideas, perspectives, and expertise to global conversations on digital strategy, innovation, and education.
- Legacy of Impact – Strengthen your personal and professional legacy by aligning with UniDAIM’s mission to democratize education and shape the future of digital and AI management worldwide.
The Honorary Doctorate is an academic honor, not an earned degree. Holders may use the honorary title in a ceremonial or honorary context but should always include the proper designation (Honoris Causa, h.c., D.Hon., or Dr. (h.c.)) to clearly distinguish it from an academic doctorate.
Below are examples of how the title can be used in different contexts:
Formal Writing:
- John Mark, Doctor of Business Administration in Digital Strategy (Honoris Causa)
Abbreviated Form:
- John Mark, D.B.A. (h.c.)
Honorary Prefix:
- Dr. John Mark (h.c.)
- Dr. h.c. John Mark
