The University of Digital and AI Management (UniDAIM) proudly announces the conferral of an Honorary Professorship in Education and Law upon Her Excellency Ambassador Professor Nicole Leonie Nugent, in recognition of her exceptional contributions to education, diplomacy, humanitarian service, and peacebuilding across the globe.
Prof. Nugent, an accomplished global leader and advocate, currently serves as Permanent Representative to the United Nations and Global Peace Ambassador-at-Large. She is also the Queen Mother of the Asankare Region in Ghana, where she plays a vital role in advancing community-led development, cultural preservation, and the empowerment of women at the grassroots level.
Over the past three decades, Prof. Nugent has demonstrated unwavering dedication to leadership, education, and social transformation. Her rich academic background spans numerous disciplines—including psychology, counseling, leadership and management, theology, diplomacy, corporate governance, international relations, and legal studies—reflecting her lifelong pursuit of excellence and knowledge.
As a Committee Member of the African Union, she has contributed to programs focused on social and economic inclusion, governance, and youth empowerment. Through her work as a Global Peace Ambassador, Prof. Nugent has championed reconciliation and peacebuilding initiatives that bridge divides between governments, organizations, and communities affected by conflict.
Beyond her diplomatic and academic achievements, Prof. Nugent is a passionate humanitarian. She founded the Nikki Nugent Hope and Devine Centre for children with disabilities, the Nana Afia Serwaa Brakatu Foundation, and International Women in Power (IWIP)—all of which promote inclusion, empowerment, and sustainable change. Her exemplary leadership has earned her recognition among Africa’s 100 Most Influential Women.
