The University of Digital and AI Management (UniDAIM) is pleased to announce the conferral of the Honorary Professorship in Semiconductor Manufacturing and Operations Management upon Dr. h.c. Chi Wei Chen, recognizing his exceptional leadership, technical innovation, and enduring contributions to the global semiconductor industry.
With more than two decades of international executive leadership across the United States, Taiwan, and China, Dr. Chen has distinguished himself through his expertise in semiconductor manufacturing, wafer fabrication, and operational management. He has successfully led the planning, design, and startup of advanced 12-inch wafer fabrication facilities, directed multinational organizations of more than 700 professionals, and delivered significant improvements in manufacturing efficiency, yield optimization, cost reduction, and production capacity. His portfolio of 28 granted patents in semiconductor and LED manufacturing technologies further reflects a career dedicated to engineering excellence and industrial innovation.
In addition to his distinguished industry career, Dr. Chen holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration at Bellevue University, underscoring his dedication to lifelong learning and executive leadership.
This honorary appointment builds upon the University’s earlier conferral of the Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) in Semiconductor Manufacturing and Operations Management (Honoris Causa), underscoring UniDAIM’s continued recognition of Dr. Chen’s sustained impact on the semiconductor sector.
