The University of Digital and AI Management (UniDAIM) is pleased to announce the publication of three new peer-reviewed research articles co-authored by our alumnus, Dr. Mehrez Ben Nasr, and our President, Prof. John Anderson.
Published on June 30, 2026, in the Journal of Work and Entrepreneurship Research (JWER), Volume 2, Number 1, pages 70–79, “AI Governance and Ethical Frameworks in Insurance: Challenges and Opportunities for Tunisia” explores the opportunities and challenges associated with implementing ethical AI governance frameworks within Tunisia’s insurance sector.
In addition, two research articles were published on June 28, 2026, in the Review of Economics and Applied Statistics, Volume 23, Number 1.
The first, “Modernizing Motor Insurance Pricing in Tunisia: A Generalized Linear Models Approach for Emerging Markets,” (pages 24–36) examines the use of generalized linear models to improve motor insurance pricing in emerging markets through more accurate and data-driven risk assessment.
The second, “Kaplan–Meier Survival Analysis of Mortality Experience in Tunisian Life Insurance: Updating the TD99 Table for Experience-Based Pricing and Reserving,” (pages 89–101) presents an updated mortality analysis to support more accurate life insurance pricing and reserving based on real-world experience.
The publications are a direct outcome of Dr. Ben Nasr’s doctoral research project, “How Artificial Intelligence Can Transform Insurance in Tunisia: Optimizing Underwriting, Enhancing Claims Management, and Strengthening Fraud Detection,” which was completed under the supervision of Prof. Anderson. Together, the articles demonstrate how advanced analytics and artificial intelligence can help modernize the insurance industry through improved governance, pricing, risk assessment, and operational efficiency.
These publications reflect the quality of doctoral research conducted at UniDAIM and underscore the value of strong collaboration between doctoral candidates and faculty supervisors.
The University congratulates Dr. Mehrez Ben Nasr and Prof. John Anderson on this outstanding achievement and their continued contributions to advancing research in artificial intelligence, actuarial science, insurance, and applied statistics.
