UniDAIM Honors Prof. Nicole Leonie Nugent with Distinguished Professorship in Government and International Affairs

The University of the Digital and AI Management (UniDAIM) has officially honored Prof. Nicole Leonie Nugent with the Distinguished Professorship in Government and International Affairs (Honorary) award, recognizing her outstanding contributions to global diplomacy, governance, humanitarian service, and academic leadership.

Prof. Nugent is internationally respected for her extensive service in diplomacy and global peacebuilding. She has served as a Permanent Representative to the United Nations and as a Global Peace Ambassador-at-Large, where she has played a key role in advancing dialogue, partnerships, and policy initiatives focused on peace, equality, sustainable development, and international cooperation. Her work has consistently bridged governments, international organizations, and grassroots communities, particularly in conflict-affected and underserved regions.

Beyond her diplomatic engagements, Prof. Nugent has demonstrated deep commitment to cultural leadership and community development. As Queen Mother to the Asankare Region of Ghana, she has championed community-led development, cultural preservation, women’s empowerment, and social inclusion at the grassroots level. Her advocacy for women, children, widows, and persons with disabilities has resulted in improved access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities across multiple regions.

Prof. Nugent also brings a strong academic and professional background, holding multiple qualifications across disciplines including political science, international relations, leadership and management, psychology and counseling, theology, diplomacy, media, and governance. Her multidisciplinary expertise has informed her work as an educator, policy advocate, humanitarian leader, and institutional founder, contributing meaningfully to both scholarly and practical domains.In conferring the Distinguished Professorship in Government and International Affairs (Honorary), UniDAIM affirms Prof. Nugent’s lifelong dedication to public service, peacebuilding, and global leadership.
