UniDAIM Confers Honorary Professorship in Industrial-Organizational Psychology on Dr. Tak Cheong Larm

The University of Digital and AI Management (UniDAIM) has conferred the title of Honorary Professor of Industrial-Organizational Psychology upon Dr. Tak Cheong Larm, in recognition of his outstanding interdisciplinary contributions to psychology, organizational leadership, and workplace mental wellness.

Dr. Tak Cheong Larm is an interdisciplinary scholar and practitioner with expertise in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, management, and workplace mental health. He holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in General Management, a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Engineering Management. His academic distinctions also include multiple honorary doctorates, notably an Honorary Doctor of Psychology (Hon.Psy.D.) in Industrial-Organizational Psychology and an Honorary Doctor of Philosophy (Hon.D.Phil.) in Philosophy of Psychology, alongside additional honorary doctoral awards in business, engineering, and management.

The honorary award reflects Dr. Larm’s long-standing commitment to advancing Industrial-Organizational Psychology through practical application, research-informed leadership, and advocacy for psychosocial safety in modern workplaces. His work integrates psychology with management, facilities operations, and organizational systems, offering innovative models that emphasize empathy, behavioral awareness, and human-centered management practices.

Dr. Larm brings more than four decades of professional experience across building and facilities management, security operations, and workplace psychology management. Currently based in Hong Kong, he serves as a Building Supervisor and Workplace Psychology Management Officer, where he applies psychological principles to enhance organizational efficiency, safety culture, and employee well-being.

In addition to his professional practice, Dr. Larm is actively engaged in the global psychology community. He holds memberships and affiliations with several international professional bodies, including the American Psychological Association, the British Psychological Society, and the Australian Psychological Society, among others.
